People will be mad at you for the Gospel at times.
If there’s one thing that the Crucifixion teaches us, it’s probably that God in Jesus is willing to gloriously endure the just wrath due to His people for their sins.
But I think after that lesson, somewhere not too far down the list, comes this one: It is foolish to think that Jesus will be popular with everyone if we share Him the right way.
He shared Himself flawlessly. And some loved Him to the point of death while others mocked and spat.
Some will love us for the Gospel of rescue and redemption, of repentance and faith, but some will hate us.
If you think that everyone will love Jesus (or us) if we just do it the right way, then you think that we have a better technique than He did.
