15 Seconds from a Hospital Parking Garage

A friend taught me something yesterday.

There is something simple and wonderful and Christlike about a person just genuinely hoping to help you. Authentically wanting to bless and be around you. It is a Christian, Cross-like virtue to love without motives and without strings.

I want to love like my friend did yesterday, and my heart is impossibly grateful to him. It may be a simple thing to bring a woman who just delivered a baby a milkshake, but when it’s done with nothing but honest desire to make her happy, it’s impossible to replicate without the Spirit of God.

Something can be simple and still be supernatural.

I am unspeakably grateful to God that He makes the sort of people who love like He does.
